About "Space: Above and Beyond"

"Space: Above and Beyond" was created by Glen Morgan and James Wong, whose work includes many of the top episode written on "The X-Files" televison series, "Millennium" television series, "Final Destination", "The One", and the NBC television series "The Others". "Space: Above and Beyond" started back in 1995 on the FOX network and lasted only one season, becoming a one season wonder. The show stars Morgan Weisser, Kristen Cloke, Rodney Rowland, Joel de la Fuente, Lanei Chapman, and James Morrison, with supporting guest stars Tucker Smallwood and Doug Hutchison among many.

The series takes place in the year 2063, where the world is at war with aliens known as Chigs, who are out to take over the universe and annihilate human beings. But before this war, there was a previous war against the Silicates, also known as the A.I. (artificial intelligence). The series follows a group of United States Marines, the 58th squadron - also known as the Wildcards, who are tossed into this war when news is delivered of Chig attacks on an Earth colony called Telus. The events of the war test their ablities, and bring them together despite their differences. Their leader is Lieutenant Colonel Tyrus Cassius (T.C.) McQueen (played by James Morrison), an in-vitro, who - despite the prejudice against in-vitros (artificially grown humans) - has risen through the chain of command after his squadron, the 127th Angry Angels, were killed by Chigs at the beginning of the war.
