Gdansk for the Holiday

Details:
In the season 9 episode "4-D", Doggett comes to Reyes's new apartment with a bag of polish sausage from a vender on M Street. Reyes sneers at it and says rather unenthusiastically: "It's like I'm back in Gdansk". Using your creative mind, create a fanfic about her time in Gdansk, Poland.

Your fanfic must inclue the following:
- Gdansk, Poland
- The time stamp must be a holiday, it doesn't matter which one, but it must be before Monica Reyes came to Washington, D.C. to join the X-Files Division in 2001.
- Someone has to eat a polish sausage.
- Monica must be in a relationship with someone at the time.

Rating & Length:
G to NC-17 is accepted.
Length: at least 800 words (about 4 pages)
