Adam Baldwin, who is not a "Baldwin Brother", grew up in the Chicago area and went to New Trier Township High School East, in Winnetka, IL. He has been in over sixty films, from the big studio movies to the small independent films. He got into acting when he was discovered in Chicago when he was chosen for the title role in the 1980 filme, "My Bodyguard". He was chosen over 4,000 aspiring actors for this role, and so began Adam's career.

Adam has worked along side many of Hollywoods great actors and creative minds, such as director Stanley Kubrick, who directed one of the greatest war movies of all time, "Full Metal Jacket". He caught the attention early on of Robert Redford, earning him a role in "Ordinary People" in 1980. Roland Emmerich and "Independence Day". Mel Gibson in "The Patriot" Just to name a few.

Adam has made a name for himself in the world of television. Many sci-fi fans will know him well as Knowle Rohrer, the dangerou Super Soldier, from the last two seasons of "The X-Files". But many around the world will remember him as Jayne Cobb, the crude mercinary, on Joss Whedon's "Firefly". His role as Jayne Cobb would be revived in a huge, unpresidented movie, "Serenity". He has also guest starred in "Angel", and was a leading role in FOX's "The Inside" as Special Agent Danny Love. Adam was a supporting character in the one season drama, "Day Break", which aired in the fall of 2006 on ABC.
