Who Is Arthur Dales?
Arthur Dales was a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation back in the 1950s. Working with his partner, Hayes Michel, to bust communist in the United States. In 1952, he worked a case that brought his attention to a case designated as "X" and so began the end of his reputation with the FBI. Arthur Dales appears in three episodes of "The X-Files": 5x15 "Travelers", 6x14 "Agua Mala" and 6x20 "The Unnatural". He is played by Fredric Lane (as Young Arthur Dales in 5x15 "Travelers" and 6x20 "The Unnatural"), Darren McGavin (as Old Arthur Dales in 5x15 "Travelers" and 6x14 "Agua Mala") and M. Emmet Walsh (as Old Arthur Dales in 6x20 "The Unnatural")
